Follow these steps, and get started today!
Step 1: Make the decision to do it
Most people have frequent thoughts about starting a fitness program. But, thoughts alone won't get you in shape. Make the commitment. Just by making this decision and a commitment, your self-esteem will skyrocket. Try it!
You probably have a fair idea about why you want to get fit. Maybe heart disease runs in your family and you want to protect yourself. Or, it's to get in shape for sumer or to improve fitness for that half-marathon later in the year. Going into a fitness center with a clear understanding of your reasons provides the best start and a better chance of success.
Step 2: Search for a fitness center
The Escape Fitness Center provides a friendly, welcoming environment where fitness becomes fun. Check out our membership options!
Step 3: Visit the club
The best way to choose a fitness center is to visit it. You can see the facilities for yourself and make sure they have the equipment and services that you need to achieve your goals. You will also get a good feel for the atmosphere, the staff, and the programs they offer.
Step 4: Talk to a consultant
All the consultants at the Escape Fitness Center are genuinely interested in your wellbeing and want to help you achieve your goals. One of the Escape's core values is 'PASSION', and yes, the staff are all passionate about exercise and the effect it has had on their lives. A consultant can give you information on membership packages and guide you into the right type of program to fit your goals. There is no obligation to join, but we would like the opportunity to give you all the information you need to make an informed decision.
Step 5: Join
By joining, you've made the commitment to start on the road to good health and fitness. You'll be amazed at how good you feel once you've made this commitment. Once you join, you'll have the whole team behind you, helping you along the way if you get stuck.
Step 6: Make it a habit
To get results, exercise must become a habit. If you're new to exercise, start off with going to the gym at least twice a week, and then increase it as you get fitter and more confident. It needn't be a marathon effort every time, but you must do it regularly. Stay flexible! If you can't make it one day, go the next. If you don't have time to do a group class, try a circuit. Try a 30 minute walk on the treadmill if you're just too exhausted to do anything else.
Step 7: Reward yourself for your efforts
Give yourself credit for achieving some of your goals. Reward yourself for short-term goals, and before you know it, you will be that much closer to your long-term goal. No longer will exercise be a chore-- IT WILL BE FUN!!!
Good luck and enjoy!
